For 55 years NLBC has been dedicated and actively working with its members and serving within the community of Muskegon Heights, Michigan. We have had many wonderful, fruitful years, however experienced some challenges, especially during the global pandemic months. Our Pastor, Demetrio Dockery met the challenge by conducting virtual weekly Bible study and Sunday worship service, parking lot communion thus allowing the Word to go forward and the church to continue to thrive.

 

Our church continues to be a beacon of light in the community. 

Pastor Dockery has established a Children’s Church ministered by dedicated, Christian youth instructors. 

Other activities include Children’s back to school bash with backpack and school supplies giveaway, free haircuts and braids offered with a community picnic. Donated meals to Hackley Hospital staff during the pandemic. Also toys for tots distribution during Christmas. 

 

Pastor Dockery is instrumental in launching our newly created church website sometime this month. This will help to boost overall engagement in our church community, give direct access to the worship experience, giving/donating, church staff, events, and further exposure of our church to the community. 

 

New Lights Membership continues weekly to grow substantially, being a blessing to the church and the community.
